Singapore MUNICH MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. Full time

This is an exciting and challenging senior role in Enterprise Risk Management. You will report to the Regional Chief Risk Officer (CRO), working closely with the Singapore and other business units across Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa to support risk management activities across the region in relation to Life and Health business.

**Your job**:

- Provide a second opinion for new or renewed Third-party relationships, including consideration of local regulatory requirements for Munich Re Singapore branch and potentially other branches in Asia.
- Oversee the second line aspects of Business Continuity Management from a local regulatory perspective and a Munich Re Group perspective in relation to Munich Re Singapore branch and potentially other branches in Asia.
- Form independent operational risk assessments and challenge the first line risk owners so that risks are robustly managed within Munich Re's risk appetite and return objective.
- Contribute to other operational risk management activities within Asia, e.g. Operational Risk Control System (ORCS), operational incident reporting,
- Define risk governance and cascade it to risk policies, mandates, limits and authorities. This includes the review and update of local business mandates and authorities, and harmonising risk management policies across the local business unit.
- Build and implement risk frameworks, methodology and tools (including data analytic/statistical) to enable the business to effectively identify and manage both new and key risks.
- Embed risk culture and awareness across the organisation by collaborating with internal stakeholders so that initiatives are aligned, and risks are proactively managed.
- Take interest in and be aware of new and emerging risks e.g. climate change, ESG

**Your profile**:

- At least 7 years of experience in (re)insurance/banking in areas of actuarial, risk/capital management or underwriting
- CERA or other certifications in Risk Management will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of non-life re/insurance business would be an advantage
- A strong communicator who has independent views and is able to influence others
- Always forward-looking by scanning the horizon for emerging risks (and opportunities) which are relevant to the business
- Knowledge of Chinese would be an advantage
