As a Data Analyst specializing in the maritime industry, you will be a vital asset in extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights that drive strategic initiatives. Your expertise in maritime operations, combined with your data analysis skills, will empower stakeholders across the organization to make informed decisions and enhance operational performance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collect, clean, and preprocess maritime data from various sources, including vessel tracking systems, CRM databases, and industry reports.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to maritime operations, cargo movement, vessel performance, and other relevant areas.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis solutions.
- Create comprehensive data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to maritime operations, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in the development and implementation of data-related projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with Group IT on data cataloguing and linking up data sources from various systems.
- Support the adoption of data-driven decision-making by assisting in training initiatives and promoting data literacy across the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst within the maritime industry, with a deep understanding of maritime operations, logistics, vessel tracking, or related areas.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with data manipulation, data cleansing, and data transformation techniques.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented approach to data validation and quality assurance.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of machine learning and predictive modelling techniques is advantageous.
- Familiarity with maritime regulations, compliance standards, and industry-specific data sources is a plus.
- Professional certifications in data analysis or related fields are beneficial.
