Job Description

Pricing and Costing Management
- Ensure implementation of pricing strategy and pricing guidelines to be deployed to bring Standardization, Simplification, and Sustainability for long term gains
- Responsible for ensuring compliance to pricing guidelines (external customers, intercompany and postal unions such as UPU)
- Build, maintain, and delivers standard and customize costing and pricing models for International BU.
- Lead and drive creation of costing/pricing model for cross-border and/or complex projects.
- Work with 192 members of the Postal organizations (globally) to derive the best possible rates in the best interest of SingPost
- Drive and perform competition/market benchmarking exercise to ensure market competitiveness for key products & key trade-lanes.
- Perform costing analysis, compiling costing databases and provide recommendation on cost-driven solutions.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with Sales, Finance, Operations, and external customers, suppliers, and agents.
- Optimize business value through annual or periodic rates adjustments for higher yield and profitability.
- Support the management on all functional business requirements with commercial analysis, reports and give practical advice during the decision-making process.
- Monitor and compile product/key customers margin performance periodically.
- Lead and drive ad hoc projects such as SATS, ASEAN Pack, etc initiated by management team.
- Drive the commercial model for Extra Territorial Office of Exchange, such as UK ETOE

Critical Success Factors:

- Simplify and standardize the whole commercial modelling (Pricing and Costing both)
- Conform to BU target financial objectives and drive improvements in profitability
- Continuous improvement in analysis and quick turnaround for quotation to aid management decision making.
- Successfully work with Vendors/Postal organizations (Globally) to derive best possible rates

People Management
- Establish and inculcate the Pricing and Costing methodologies within the team
- Help to build the best-in-class commercials team to achieve high standard results in its costing and pricing work
- Bring the clarity to the function and achieve consistency and standardization
- Instill professionalism and enforce confidentiality and uphold integrity in the team
