Job Description for Manager, Business Development Operations, A*SRL/SRIS

A*STAR Skin Research Labs (A*SRL)/Skin Research Institute of Singapore (SRIS) is looking for a Manager to lead business development operations, working closely with researchers, SRIS partners and internal groups within the organization.

**The key role and responsibilities include**:

- Work with researchers, collaborators, SRIS Partners and A*STAR departments e.g., Legal/Innovation & Enterprise, A*STAR, to develop, negotiate and manage contracts with industry partners, public sector partners and institutes of higher learning
- Assist in timely and accurate management reporting e.g., Key Performance Indicators tracking
- Act as the key liaison person with various internal and external groups in all matters related to BD operations
- Maintain, monitor, and where needed, establish new Business Development Standard Operating Procedures
- Evaluate and propose improvements to industry engagement processes and the integration of scientists, industry, engineers, clinicians, and end users (patients and consumers)
- Ad-hoc projects as assigned by Director, Business Development & Strategic Partnerships and Executive Director, SRIS

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Bachelor Degree in a science-related field, legal, Research/Science/Technology Management, or related fields
- Detailed-oriented and able to manage KPIs (key performance indicators) tracking for the Business Development team using the Customer Relationship Management system, competent with Excel/Powerpoint for database management and presentations, well organized and resourceful
- Meticulous, resourceful and uses sound judgment and demonstrates initiative in carrying out assigned duties
- Adept at process improvement
- Excellent organizational, communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, any experience with reviewing contracts is advantageous
- Able to complete quality work within deadlines
- Able to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment
- Positive learning attitude with a pleasant personality
