We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Director, HNW Partnerships and Business Development.**
**Principal Responsibilities**
Build excellent business relationships with International Brokers and Consultants to enable business
- By evaluation and developing new distribution partners
- By utilizing new distribution strategies
- By delivering a value proposition aimed at earning incremental business
- Assist in marketing campaigns and initiatives
Promote professional concept-based sale of Insurance product portfolio
- Establish strong working knowledge of advanced HNW sales concepts
- Establish strong working knowledge of HNW product features/benefits, and competitive positioning
- Able to communicate and transfer advanced HNW sales concepts to the international brokers and consultants via training or during small group sessions
Monitor and control sales activities to ensure achievement of plans and objectives
- Oversee sales cycle analysis
- Identify and resolve issues in process and cooperation with channel management
- Monitor and ensure quality of customer services provided by sales force as well as operations
- Maintain effective communication with distribution partners
- Case management of submitted HNW cases
- Best practice sharing relating to sales processes and case studies
Operational efficiency
- To negotiate with underwriters on terms of offer based on valid evidence e.g. medical or competitors’ offers
- To negotiate with compliance team to resolve challenges and fulfil requirements
- Ability to provide in-principal approval for cases which require premium discounts within stipulated guidelines
- Organize events and plan logistics within channel budget e.g. clients’ seminars, channel appreciation events
Achieve annual target FRP goals set by senior management
- Develop high net worth insurance opportunities in partnership with international brokers
- By proactively training and developing strong technical advanced HNW sales concepts with the international brokers and consultants
- By maintaining a high level of submitted-to-paid ratio
- By proactively identifying opportunities and emerging HNW market trends and associated products
- Actively identifying product gaps and related challenges to feed back to management and product team
- Be a source for market intelligence to support product innovation and enhancements
Compliance
- Maintain high level of compliance guidelines and procedures
- Ensure self and team activities comply with relevant legal/regulatory requirements and HSBC/Practice standards and procedures
- Maintain high level of HSBC Insurance brand and valued awareness
Impact on the Business / Function
- Take personal responsibility and be vigilant against financial crimes when carrying out duties and responsibilities. Know all relevant FCC policies and procedures, and know when to escalate concerns or unusual activities
Requirements
**Requirements**:
- Degree and recognised insurance qualification in Life Insurance Products and Investment Linked Qualifications
- Understanding of the International Brokers, Private banking and UHNW/HNW businesses
- Understanding of HNW products - Universal Life, Single Premium Whole of Life and other related products
