Senior Manager, Electronic Sales Trading

As an Electronic Sales Trader based in our Singapore office, you will be part of a supportive and high performing team within our Equities Division. Our Asia Electronic Execution team was recently awarded top rankings by Greenwich Associates, and we’re looking to build on our success. As a hardworking and passionate individual, you’ll be taking the lead on originating, identifying and executing on profitable electronic trading opportunities and driving our continued growth.

You will be a seasoned electronic sales trading professional with 8+ years’ experience in Asia. You’ll have a strong understanding of pan Asian markets, algorithmic products, as well as a deep understanding of Asian market structure. A strong academic background in Computer Science or STEM could also be considered. Given the nature of our global client base, you’ll be supporting a diverse client group across all regions so cultural flexibility as well as process flexibility are essential. Some travel may be required to fully support the client group when conditions allow.

You will need to bring excellent interpersonal skills given the team’s strong client focus. Macquarie’s strong institutional platform and unique, innovative quant driven electronic trading set up, will help you build on your existing client relationships, develop new client relationships and expand our reach in a highly content, sophisticated, consultative led sales fashion.

Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will help you convey ideas succinctly, and your strong personal drive and commercial acumen will give you the ability to effectively work as part of a team. You will also possess a detailed knowledge of risk management, and technical and operational procedures in a global institutional equity trading environment. You should have excellent academic qualifications, ideally in a cognate discipline.
