**The Challenges**

You will have responsibilities in both the clinical and non-clinical setting. Your duties will be carried out both within the Centre and also in the Specialist Outpatient Clinics in Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Your scope of work will include, but is not limited to, the following:

- Provision of Diabetic Foot Screening services to patients, after undergoing 4 weeks of training and competency assessments.
- Assist in managing the relevant clinical logs and clinical indicator reporting, Emergency Trolley checks, Podiatry Equipment checklists, Temperature logging checklists, stocking of clinic rooms and so on. You will have to adhere to the Department’s documentation and workflow processes.
- Instrument Management which includes data entry into the instrument online system, as well as delivery, collection and merging of Podiatry instruments. You will also need to raise any instrument discrepancies observed, troubleshoot for solutions and follow-up on action plans.
- (For Senior Podiatry Assistant) Provision of basic nail cutting services for low to moderate risk patients, after undergoing at least 3 weeks of training and competency assessments.
- (For Senior Podiatry Assistant) Provision of mentoring and supervision for Junior Podiatry Assistants. Assist Podiatrists with competency checks for the Junior Podiatry Assistants.
- Independently run your assigned clinics and be responsible for arranging coverage or re-scheduling of patients when you are on leave.
- Work closely with internal departments to facilitate the operational and clinical capability of the Podiatry Service.
- Assist or be involved in monthly store cycle counts; annual physical inventory counts and any other relevant projects as assigned by the Assistant Head of Podiatry.

**The Requirements**
- Preferably with at least GCE ‘O’ Level
- NITEC in Nursing or its equivalent
- Previous clinical experience will be an advantage
- Meticulous, with good communication skills to liaise and negotiate with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to work under pressure and independently.
