**Scope of role**

A Cloud Software Group Principal Solutions Engineer (SE) provides pre-sales technical leadership for the development and implementation of customer solutions that solve complex mission-critical enterprise requirements.

You will have the aptitude and leadership skills to drive virtual teams comprising of both internal and external stakeholders for advancing business opportunities, and be an integral part of the sales process, ensuring any technical concerns and questions are addressed to ensure success in the sales cycle.

**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**

You will be an achievement-driven self-starter who is motivated to provide positive customer outcomes. You will thrive in the technical sales environment and be a natural problem solver, developing and delivering technical strategy. You will also possess:

- Demonstrated ability to:

- learn the Cloud Software Group sales process and basic selling fundamentals;
- understand customer business requirements;
- understand the Cloud Software Group corporate vision;
- present Cloud Software Group solution presentations;
- manage customer expectations;
- Demonstrated people skills to develop positive customer relationships

**Technical Skills required**:

- Minimum of 15 years in a presales environment (includes software development, design and architecture)
- Expected to develop the necessary technical skills to be able to:

- Articulate the value of major Cloud Software Group product sets and solutions
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Cloud Software Group products, in particular, Cloud Software Group Business Works Container Edition, Cloud Software Group Messaging (RV/EMS/Kafka), Cloud Software Group Active Spaces, Cloud Software Group API Management, Cloud Software Group Streaming, Cloud Software Group Business Events, Cloud Software Group Data Virtualization, Cloud Software Group EBX, and Cloud Software Group Spotfire
- Perform thorough analysis of customer requirements
- Strong understanding of competitor landscape
- Hands-on demonstration of Cloud Software Group products
- Lead and contribute in complex proof-of-concepts involving multiple Cloud Software Group products
- Lead and contribute in RFI/RFPs
- Propose solutions that meet customer requirements and position relevant Cloud Software Group products
- Lead a team designing and deploying Cloud Software Group technology in customer engagements
- Expertise in some of following technologies: - Microservices, Dev-Ops/CI/CD, IoT, Event Processing, Streaming Analytics, Node.js/Python/C/C++/Java, Docker, Kubernetes, Consul, advanced analytics

**Education**
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
