[What the role is]

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore’s central bank and integrated financial regulator.

As central bank, MAS promotes sustained, non-inflationary economic growth through the conduct of monetary policy and close macroeconomic surveillance and analysis. It manages Singapore’s exchange rate, official foreign reserves, and liquidity in the banking sector.

[What you will be working on]

The Data Governance & Transformation Division is part of the Enterprise Knowledge Department (EKD), under the Economics & Knowledge Management Group. You will join a dynamic, creative and enterprising team of individuals, who are passionate about improving and transforming how data is managed and discovered in MAS through the use of digital, user-centric solutions.

You will be part of a team that is responsible for developing a Data Catalogue. The catalogue primarily aims to facilitate search and discovery of structured datasets for users, but is also a tool for complying with prevailing data governance requirements.

Principal responsibilities:

- Develop product vision and roadmap, with executable deliverables and milestones.
- Identify existing and upcoming data governance/management requirements (e.g. data lineage, data request workflows, etc.).
- Conduct product discovery to come up with product enhancement ideas.
- Drive product delivery by collaborating with developers, as well as engineering and business stakeholders.
- Drive product adoption through engaging stakeholders closely to grow content (i.e. onboard datasets’ metadata) onto the data catalogue
- You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.

[What we are looking for]
- Academic qualifications and/or experience in computer science, information system engineering, data management or another relevant field.
- Working knowledge and experience with one or more of the following programming languages/frameworks - Python, Django, HTML, CSS, Javascript, React.
- Self-motivated, with a willingness to take ownership for outcomes, and ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Desire to work in a highly dynamic environment where solutions are not always clear.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and management skills.
- Strong analytical skills, and able to think and articulate in a structured manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

**Good to have**:

- Knowledge and/or experience in the Agile methodology (including how it differs from the water-fall approach) and familiarity with tools like Figma, Azure DevOps, Gitbook and Github
- Knowledge and understanding of source-code control, testing, the continuous integration/continuous delivery process.
- A track record of effective project management, with demonstrable experience in design thinking and agile project management.
- Experience in media content creation (e.g. infographics, EDMs, marketing and educational materials).
