Wafer Process and QA Technician

To support in the performance of quality functions such as conducting failure analysis using available FA tools and performing quality inspections.
- To process silicon semiconductor wafers in a cleanroom environment for required unit process steps - primarily lithography, lift off and etching techniques.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Wafer Process Technician -**:
- Become certified in multiple process areas at the National University of Singapore (NUS) such as:
- Photolithography (aligner, stepper, cluster coater, developer, ultrasonic cleaner)
- Wet etch (semi-automated and automated tools)
- Metallization/plating (Ebeam, Sputter, anneal, liftoff)
- Lapping/polishing
- Characterization (CDSEM, AFM, profilometer)
- Handle chemicals (acids, solvents, plating solutions, polishing slurry) with caution and following safety protocol.
- Interact with engineering for process training and execution of non-standard work instructions on engineering material.
**Failure Analysis -**:
- Work under supervision of QA engineer to meet and improve the response time.
- Perform failure analysis using available FA tools such as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-Ray, Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX), Ion Mill, FIB, high power microscope inspection, decapping, deprocessing, cross-sectioning, bench testing, and desoldering and soldering of components.
- Support critical engineering evaluations that require failure analysis and generate reports.
- Support for failure analysis laboratory maintenance
- Observe safety and housekeeping during day-to-day failure analysis activities.
