Managing Director, Singapore

About the opportunity

We are now searching for an exceptionally motivated and driven leader to join our growing team in Singapore as the Managing Director (MD). If you have demonstrated experience in building and scaling businesses, and are looking for a place where you can gain hands-on experience and create significant impact, we would like to hear from you

**Responsibilities**:

- Overall accountability for the P/L and all operational aspects of foodpanda’s business in Singapore.
- Develop and implement high level country strategy, with the goal of being the best food delivery marketplace in Singapore
- Allocate budget and optimise resources efficiently across all business verticals to meet ambitious growth and profitability targets
- Build and lead a team of highly talented senior executives, and guide/motivate them to supercharge business performance
- Collaborate with foodpanda Regional Management around strategic goals and country level policies to maximise return on investment.
- Serve as the chief brand ambassador in Singapore, leveraging multiple channels to sell our story, and building foodpanda into a trusted and winning brand
- Aggressively drive vendor growth whilst developing and maintaining relationships with key partners
- Care for an amazing team of best-in-class delivery riders, ensuring that our rider program is constantly improving
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, regularly engage and maintain good working relationship with government and regulatory authorities

What you need to be successful
- Bachelor Degree in Business or equivalent qualification
- At least 10 years of experience at the company decision-making level, including P/L accountability
- Background in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup/technology environments, experience in management consulting is a plus
- Experience leading and scaling organisations of 100+ staff, working in a Global or Regional organization and collaborate efficiently with various stakeholders across functions
- Outstanding achievements in business performance, driving profitability and growth, and inspiring large teams.
- Strong customer focus and influencing skills, with the ability and finesse to balance conflicting objectives and manage crises.
- Assertive, energetic, and highly motivated with excellent communication skills
- Fluency in English (our corporate language)
