Role Description

This role has responsibility across all product divisions - Property & Casualty (P&C), Accident & Health (A&H) and International Personal Lines (IPL) - and geographically across Asia Pacific. The individual is responsible for setting and implementing strategy to meet production targets with Independent Distribution Partners (IDP) and accountable for underwriting profitability at a product and portfolio level. Areas of focus include the development and monitoring of activity and performance management tools for IDP distribution staff, the implementation of technology to deliver product and service to IDP’s, the segmentation and optimisation of IDP production and profit performance.

The role reports into the Head of Independent Distribution Partners (IDP) Asia Pacific, or such other role as may be required by the company in the future.

Roles and Responsibilities

Drive the production performance of the IDP channel to planned growth and profitability targets.

Improve retention of profitable IDP premium, including through new renewal strategies, IDP staff performance management and technology.

Manage IDP sales activity by tracking the activity levels and performance of distribution teams, channels and partners.

Lead the design and manage delivery of technology platforms appropriate to opportunity and business volumes in collaboration with regional IT and product teams.

Work with the regional and local stakeholders to proactively identify sales opportunities and new partner opportunities/relationships.

Develop product strategy for the IDP channel including design of differentiated product propositions.

Identify opportunities to embed products, access and leverage data and jointly develop systems and process across P&C, A&H and IPL, collaborating closely with the small commercial and mid-market customer segments under the P&C Division.

Review current marketing approaches, including campaigns, and modify propositions and approaches as appropriate. Coordinate with distribution teams country IDP managers to develop sales campaigns.

Proficiency and understanding of IDP financials, forecast and other reports required from local teams to build on narratives and identify trends, challenges and potential areas of growth.

Coordinate countries to prepare periodical reports for Chubb management on the IDP channel and separately provide reports to scaled IDP partners on their performance.

**Qualifications**:
1. Education

Bachelors Degree or relevant insurance accreditations.

2. Knowledge, skills and experience

Internationally minded individual, able to work across multiple cultures, countries and management matrices

Management experience with business planning, business development and internal client relationship management preferred

Underwriting experience an advantage

Experience in product planning, development and launch

Understanding of producer market facing platforms implementation and utilization.

Knowledge of existing products and competitor products

Ability to present concepts and contribute to idea-generation

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, recognise and respond to priorities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

More than 5 years of relevant experience

Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the year
