About GLOBALFOUNDRIES

Introductin:
Custom layout design, automation and layout optimization to support:

- Process Characterization/Qualification Test Chip
- I/O Cell, Analog Macro and Memory Layout Design

Your Job:

- Work with R&D and Fab Process Integration & Module teams to help define advanced test chip for new technology development.
- Be able to lead a sub-team to complete a full-scale test chip development, from plan to tape-out.
- Provide custom layout design for I/O Cell, Analog Macro and Memory Layout Design
- Understand test structures / IP/ macro ; be able to provide technical support/guidance to other engineers.
- New Test Pattern Design & Develop new/sophisticated EDA code for automation test structure generation.
- To ensure successful accomplishment of projects.

Other Responsibilities:

- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

- Education:

- Bachelor/Masters degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Physics or equivalent.
- Years of Experience:

- Bachelor/Masters degree holders with minimum 5 years of experience in wafer fabrication or IC Mask design environment - For Snr Engr position.
- Person with shorter working experience may also apply. They can be considered for Engineer position
- Fresh graduates from University or Polytechnics are also welcomed. They can be considered for “Engineer” or “Associate Engineer” position respectively.
- Semiconductor physics, CMOS device knowledge is a must.
- Fluency in English Language - written & verbal. Knowledge of other languages e.g. Mandarin, German is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Programming skills/scripting e.g. SKILL, TCL, Perl, and person with circuit design background is a plus.
- Essential attributes:

- Good interpersonal skill, tactful, resourceful, proactive.
- Possess good working attitude, well organized and work well within a team environment.
