**Overview**

We are looking for a Category Manager who will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies within the indirect category (e.g. Travel, Marketing, Corporate Procurement etc.) to drive cost savings and sourcing efficiencies while balancing against the needs of the business stakeholders. Experience in categories of HR Services and and Professional Services will be considered.

**What will your typical day look like?**

Strategic Sourcing
- Pro-actively engage business stakeholders and Finance teams to identify sourcing and saving opportunities to leverage spend across the Singtel Group.
- Develop category strategies through spend analysis and partner with key business stakeholders to drive strategic sourcing.
- Drive key sourcing events, map negotiation strategies, lead negotiations and drive cost savings.
- Provide market knowledge, intelligence and expertise to business stakeholders.

Supplier Management
- Foster partnership with key suppliers to identify and implement cost improvement initiatives in alignment with category strategies.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance through regular supplier meetings, business reviews and suppliers’ performance evaluations for continuous improvement to deliver new value-add
- Governance, Process improvement and Procurement Operations
- Guide business users on procurement policies and practices
- Review current category procurement processes and policies to identify key pain points and bottlenecks and recommend changes
- Continually strive for best value and quality enhancement through data analytics, cost examination and process review

Category Management
- Assist in the initiation of innovative category management and sourcing strategies, develop cross-divisional procurement processes, and implement optimum sourcing strategies with qualified suppliers to lay the foundation for procurement success and to achieve a maximum contribution to the operating result.
- Require having strong analytics capability within sourcing function in order to enable detailed analysis of key categories and support recommended spend and buy better strategies
- Manage reporting of category performance, including flagging out of issues and challenges and propose resolutions.

**Is this you?**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, or related field
- Min 5 years of working experience within procurement
- Proven experience in creating and implementing procurement strategies, with a track record of successfully delivering financial savings
- Good knowledge on how to diversify risk, have some level of merging category knowledge with the supplier market
- Proficient in using e-sourcing tools such as Ariba and systems such as SAP
- Good knowledge of procurement best practices
- Possess a strategic focus with the ability to analyse, formulate and implement procurement strategies to significantly reduce costs
- Strong influencing, collaboration, sourcing project management and negotiation skills.
- Effective communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
