The Payroll Senior Specialist will be responsible for managing the payroll in our APAC countries with focus in Japan and China.

**Responsibilities**
- Payroll processing and maintain payroll records and reports
- Data collection and entry for monthly preparation of payroll for various countries
- Prepare payroll journal entries and responsible for payroll month end close cycle
- Provide analysis for monthly activity for payroll related balance sheet account collaboration
- Timely execution of salary, taxes, pensions payroll and benefit related payments
- Prepare and maintain accurate and compliant records for internal and external audit control procedures. Responsible for all audit related inquires, escalating as needed
- Analyze all variances and comment on all fluxes as required during financial close process
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross functional teams such as HR, Finance, Tax, Global Mobility in administration of payroll matters
- Manage local payroll vendors and research and resolves issues or problems on service provided
- Select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to improve payroll processes and operational policies
- Attend to payroll queries from employees
- Stay up to date with local payroll regulations

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience working in a payroll environment
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong experience and in-depth knowledge of payrolls in Japan and China
- High proficiency in spoken and written Japanese required to manage Japanese speaking stakeholders and vendor
- Experience with HR technologies such as Workday, SAP, Peoplesoft
- Proficient with MS Office, advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot table and VLOOKUP and capable of handling volume of data
- Problem solving mindset & positive attitude. Experience working in a global matrix organization is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
