**What the role is**

You will be part of the Trade Group driving international trading for Singapore. The Group is involved in attracting major traders to manage their international operations from Singapore and growing the wholesale trade sector.

**What you will be working on**

You would be part of the Agri-commodities team and be in charge of a portfolio of companies from the sector to deepen and widen their presence in Singapore. In addition, you will also be part of cross-functional teams to strengthen Singapore’s trading ecosystem and grow the vibrancy of Singapore as a global trading hub. You are expected to:
a) actively attract and engage companies to base and grow their operations in Singapore;
b) help to develop the capabilities of Singapore companies in the Agri-commodities sector and assist these companies to internationalise;
c) anchor projects in strategic areas to complement their trading activities in Singapore such as talent development, sustainability, innovation and digitalisation; and
d) be involved in projects to develop our strategies and processes, to ensure Singapore remains a conducive business environment for agri-commodities companies.

**What we are looking for**

You should have a recognised Degree in Business Management or Economics, preferably with at least 3-5 years of working experience in international business, with an interest to contribute to the public service. Knowledge of, or prior experience in the Agri-commodities sector would be viewed favorably.
