Shopee's hyper-growing business scale has transformed most "innocent" problems into huge technical challenges, and there is no better place to experience it first-hand if you love technologies as much as we do. **About the Team**: - As a Tech Platform team, the Marketplace Tech Services team supports Shopee’s business growth by providing reliable and sustainable technical products and solutions. The team builds unified gateway services, frameworks, libraries, middleware services, and practices that promote the unification of backend architecture, improve engineering efficiency and ensure that the development for all marketplace backend services are smooth, stable and aligned. - Lead a team of engineers to deliver a project of multiple tech stacks. - Act as an experienced expert in at least one area of project development. - Design inter-system architectures. - Define well-thought-out and balanced technical solutions. - Solve all technical hurdles during project delivery. - Break technical solutions down to executable tasks and estimate task difficulties. - Provide reasonable solutions to refactor existing systems into a better structure. - Do code reviews. Contribute to coding if necessary. - Ensure knowledge sustainability via well-organized and update-to-date documentation. **Requirements**: - 7 years or more hands-on experience in Internet industry projects. - Well versed in server-side technology stacks; preferably multiple tech stacks. - Expert in at least one server-side technology. - Hands-on experiences in end-to-end project delivery as a non-individual contributor. - Experiences in leading an engineering team with solid line reporting. - Established methodologies in solving most technical problems in project delivery. - Excellent communication skills within domain knowledge. - Excellent logical and abstract thinking abilities. - Strong written English skills; communicable verbal English skills to comunicate with the employees around the world Skills below are optional but preferable: - Good to have experience in Gateway service & backend server framework. - Good to have hands-on experiences with Go.
