**Job description**:
Mantell Associates is partnered with a Pharmaceutical organisation who are searching for a Head of Portfolio Management, to report to the company CEO.

**Head of Portfolio Management - Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for company portfolio planning activities as well as portfolio decision analysis
- Facilitate cross-functional team discussions and provide critical analytic expertise addressing business questions about the portfolio
- Secure pipeline and portfolio products for selected markets of operation via various business models (in-licensing, co-development, distribution, fee-for-project, etc.)
- Lead annual portfolio management process
- Drive a standardized and rigorous process for cross-functional data collection and analysis to ensure a consistent approach to how Company views markets/competitive environments, determine the revenue potential of assets, and assess the technical, operational, and regulatory risks of developing those assets
- Develop a real-time, quantitative view of Company pipeline performance and return on investment at both the portfolio and asset level
- Manage the cadence of reporting out portfolio metrics to key stakeholders and help leadership interpret the portfolio metrics and understand the rationale for key assumptions that informed those analyses
- Participate in inter-functional project teams and closely follow the status of pipeline products in close communication with other functional teams
- Support the quantitative assessment of new pipeline opportunities
- Periodically benchmark Company's portfolio performance / productivity
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and rules

**Head of Portfolio Management - Requirements**:

- Experienced team player with a strong foundation in pharma portfolio strategy and solid business analytics skills
- Ability to simultaneously tackle a variety of business issues using various analytic techniques (e. g. decision analysis, different forecasting methodologies and valuation techniques
- Bachelors degree required in business, decision-analysis, medicine/science, or related quantitative field; MBA degree or other advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a pharma company
- Excellent, game-changing analytical, quantitative and creative problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in a range of forecasting and valuation techniques and the use of these outputs to drive key strategic insights and considerations for stakeholders. Experience with other types of advanced analytical modeling techniques and visualization tools is also highly desirable
- Hands-on proficiency with Excel macros, and ability to use advanced decision support analytical tools
- Ability to think strategically, and to skillfully manage competing priorities
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex analysis into clear and succinct insights
- Entrepreneurial character and attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal partners
