We are seeking a visionary leader to head our team of talented and high performing AI professionals, data scientists and MLOps professionals, driving strategic AI initiatives that will help provide innovative financial solutions that are accessible, secure and user friendly.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute the AI and data science roadmap and strategy aligned with the bank's overall vision and business goals, while articulating the bank-wide value proposition of AI
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, GenAI data scientists, and GenAIOps/MLOps engineers to achieve departmental objectives
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI and data science to ensure the bank remains at the forefront of innovation and provide thought leadership.
- Oversee and guide the design, development, and deployment of machine learning production models and AI solutions, ensuring the integration of AI and data science initiatives across the business units
- Collaborate with ecosystem partners to understand their data and acquire the optimal datasets for AI and ML solutions.
- Responsible for and has oversight of GenAIOps, which encompasses MLOps, deploying models in production, monitoring model metrics, and managing feature engineering pipelines, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and meeting SLAs.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, business partners and external partners to identify and prioritise AI and data science initiatives that align with business priorities.
- Communicate complex AI and data concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of potential impacts and benefits to drive culture changes.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in building out AI strategy and implementing an end-to-end roadmap, while managing a team that includes GenAI scientists, data scientists, and GenAIOps/MLOps engineers.
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in machine learning (supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning and deep learning), GenAI, data science and natural language processing.
- Experience in managing senior stakeholders and management, in articulating the value of data to the business.
- Strong experience in showcasing the value of AI solutions
- Entrepreneurial mindset, eager to grow and take on challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and the ability to collaborate in multi-cultural environments.
