(NYSE: B) is an international manufacturer of precision-machined and fabricated components and assemblies for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) turbine engine, airframe and industrial gas turbine builders throughout the world, and for the military. Barnes Aerospace also provides jet engine component overhaul and repair (MRO) services for many of the world's major turbine engine manufacturers, commercial airlines and the military. Additionally, we manufacture aerospace aftermarket spare parts and provide repair services for aerospace engine components. **Core Responsibilities**:

- Lead Engineering team in providing operational support in terms of responsiveness and timely technical problem solving.
- Oversee all engineering activities to ensure milestones, budgets and customer’s technical expectations are met.
- Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the engineering staff to ensure they provide responsive and timely technical support to sales, manufacturing and quality to achieve division objectives.
- Review opportunities for new work, and provide accurate technical costing to optimize chances of winning work.
- Lead Engineering team in delivering timely New Product Introduction; leverage concurrent engineering as a key value proposition.
- Lead Engineering team in improving product profitability through improved method of manufacture.
- Lead Engineering team in product or process transfers from other divisions.
- Keep abreast of latest or emerging technologies and spearhead innovation in the business.
- Support product and process transfers to Barnes Airmotive Malaysia.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers to ensure the highest level of performance and standards of excellence.
- Manage by way of Leadership Effectiveness (EI) to motivate, inspire and direct in a more effective manner.
- Align Engineering team to meet business needs of responsiveness, knowledge retention and business continuity.

**Qualifications**:

- 8 years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace/metal machining/precision engineering industry.
- Conversant with machining, brazing, stamping and heat treat. NDT knowledge is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of material engineering and technology management in manufacturing business.
- Demonstrated leadership effectiveness (EI) in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively at all levels of organization (both internally and externally) and engage a multicultural workforce.

**Education Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
