Product Designer

**Who We're Looking For**

We are looking for an experienced product designer who loves solving problems and crafting elegant user experiences. As an early-stage startup, we appreciate people who can wear multiple hats, or operate at a level beyond what is traditionally expected of their role. If you are a designer who believes that good design stems from absorbing and synthesising huge amounts of information about users, the vertical, and the wider ecosystem, we’d love to talk to you. Additionally, if you also have an interest in product management, tech, or business, and cannot help but take ownership of a product and be opinionated about its direction, you will likely be a good fit for us

**Your role**:
As a product designer, you will be responsible for crafting and improving the user experience of our tech products, as well as communicating these to our engineers and working with them to produce the desired experience.

Your work will ideally seek to improve user engagement, as well as the efficacy of our coaching product, leading to improved patient health outcomes. This means your work will have a direct and significant impact on peoples’ lives and wellbeing.

Aside from engineers, you will likely be collaborating or consulting with the product management, our in-house doctors and coaches, and even the data team.

You should be able to quickly make sense of the complicated healthcare vertical, understand users’ needs, and see how our product and business fits into the ecosystem. To succeed in this role, you will also need to pick up some nutrition, physical activity, and healthcare knowledge, but you will have ample support to do so.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Understand the market, healthcare ecosystem, user and coach needs, and have opinions on how the product should evolve, substantiated with data analyses or user research
- Collaborate with engineering team, creating mockups, designs, user flows, or any other material to communicate ideas and shape the development of features
- Grow a design-thinking and research culture within the organisation

**You should be**:

- Interested in joining an early stage startup disrupting the health tech industry
- A great communicator and listener, able to empathise with patients and coaches, and their needs. Bonus points if you can also consider multiple stakeholders’ needs, such as the company, partners, and the wider ecosystem as a whole
- A fast learner, able to quickly absorb large amounts of information
- Visionary, having opinions and ideas about the future of the product and company

**Nice-to-haves**:

- Experience working within healthcare or similar industries
- Basic technical experience, or an understanding of the many different ways developers build products, as well as their challenges and needs
- Many bonus points if you are also interested in having a hand in “designing” the greater user experience beyond the tech product, for e.g. the in-clinic experience and other customer touchpoints like reminders, notifications, and even marketing material
