Singapore SBS TRANSIT RAIL PTE. LTD. Full time

**Responsibilities**
- Carries out day-to-day front line maintenance on all electric train-borne equipment in a safe and effective way to minimize equipment downtime and improve train serviceability and availability
- Responds readily to any train-borne equipment failure in depot and mainline, and to effect restoration of a failed system or equipment to a normal and safe operating state in shortest possible time
- Maintains, repairs, trouble-shoots, inspects, diagnoses all rolling stock equipment, and to provide first line corrective actions to train-borne fault
- Performs pre-service checks on trains prior to revenue service and rectify any abnormality encountered during inspections
- Shunts and drives Electric Trains when the need arises
- Undertakes modification works and fleet-wide checks
- Drive Electric Train in the Depot as and when require
- Assists Senior / Assistant Engineer in planning and organizing maintenance activities
- Ensures strict compliance and adherence to the safety rules and regulations, reports any hazard to the management
- Maintains maintenance records and documentation in accordance with ISO quality standards and procedures
- Acts as member of a re-railment team as required

**Requirements**:

- Higher Nitec or Nitec in Engineering (Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering), preferably with minimum 2 years relevant working experience in maintenance/repair/installation of electrical or mechanical equipment
- Experience in railway environment will be an added advantage
- Posseses analytical & fault-finding skills
- Able to understand at least two of electrical/electronic/air conditioning/pneumatic/mechanical
system
- Good working attitude with strong commitment to job assignments
- Able to communicate well with staff at all levels
- Have good initiatives and strong trouble shooting skills
- Able to work well in a team and independently in demanding situations with minimum supervision
- Required to work on 3 rotating shift and required to be on 24 hours standby round the clock for any unforeseen emergency recall
- Able to identify colours
