SENIOR/ EXECUTIVE ENGINEER, ROLLING STOCK AND DEPOT ENGINEERING
[What your will be working on]
You will develop rolling stock and depot equipment specifications, and review design submissions from rolling stock manufacturers and depot equipment suppliers. You will advise project teams on engineering considerations, including supporting in the designing, manufacturing, and testing of new rolling stock systems. The projects you will be working on include passenger trains, specialised track maintenance vehicles and depot equipment (automatic train wash plant, automatic storage retrieval system, underfloor wheel-lathe, etc.). You will also work on various engineering initiatives to improve reliability, operation and maintenance of the Rolling Stock and Depot Equipment. You will be working closely with cross functional teams from different disciplines within LTA, as well as with domain experts from rolling stock manufacturers and depot equipment suppliers. There will also be opportunities to work on innovative engineering elements of rolling stock and depot systems.
[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- At least 3 years of work experience in either: design; manufacturing; testing and commissioning; or maintenance of
rolling stock, depot equipment, or E&M systems is preferred
review documents, hydraulics/pneumatics controls, and hands-on troubleshooting will have an added advantage
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings / schematics
- Ability to work independently
- A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and resourceful
simulation softwares such as FlexSim and MATLAB will have an added advantage
- Opportunity for overseas travel to validate quality and design of components at rolling stock factories
