The Impact You Have in this Role:
This security leader will play a critical role in protecting the company’s people, operations, brands, products, intellectual property and innovation across the Asia, ANZ and Greater China Area (GCA) regions. Working closely with the Global Security team, area leadership and other stakeholders, the Regional Security Leader will support investigations across a broad range of matters, review security programs and operations at existing company facilities and newly acquired entities to mitigate risk through appropriate security measures and plans. The Regional Security Leader will provide advice and guidance on all corporate security-related issues, support crisis planning and response, and maintain productive liaison relationships with internal business partners, external service providers, law enforcement, government agencies, and other entities as necessary. A successful incumbent must operate independently with mature judgment and discretion, make decisions, produce timely and informative reports, and communicate effectively.

This position reports to the Head EMEA/APAC Regional Security, 3M Healthcare.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct assessments of company facilities and operations, recommending company standards and cost-effective security solutions
- Implement within company’s regional facilities Global Security programs such as physical security measures, emergency response planning, and emergency mass communications
- Support investigations
- Develop security support plans for executive and other company events
- Implement Global Security travel security program in region
- Gather internal and external intelligence to assess risk within the region
- Provide leadership to guide and develop assigned facility security coordinators
- Develop and deliver security awareness presentations and training

Your Skills and Expertise
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a corporate security function or a combination of corporate experience with a background in law enforcement, military, intelligence, legal, or equivalent corporate experience preferably in a risk-management function.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully across a large geographic area in a matrixed, multicultural and multilingual environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to bring disparate teams together in the successful pursuit of common objectives
- Sound decision making, problem-solving, negotiating and influencing skills

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

- Previous leadership experience preferably in a corporate, military, police or intelligence entity
- An established network of security contacts and contracts
- Fluency in English plus another APAC/GCA language, preferably Mandarin Chinese
- Knowledge or ability and willingness to learn physical security assessment protocols and preventative measures
- Prior experience with regulatory and compliance programs
- Ability and interest to professionally advance in other company Global Security leadership positions
