Job Responsibilities:
The Apparel Product Developer should be committed and responsible for producing and driving apparel & gear product development and with project management, product, and design teams. Creating ground-breaking new styles, collaborate, ideate and refine products’ construction, fit and materials.
- Responsible for the entire product development cycle for apparel, bags, and accessories development from conceptualization to bulk stage
- Collaborates with design and product management as well as manufacturing and factories to effectively execute product development goals and deliverables; sampling, packing design, testing & qualification, safety regulation.
- Keeps abreast of team goals, new technology, market trends and consumer needs throughout the development process.
- Work with cross functional and vendor teams internally and externally to establish detailed product development, such as to distribute product technical details and assure the accuracy, legality, and integrity of all product performance claim
- Provide feedback to engineering, product, design, and business teams to continually improve/refine processes for better execution

Designing
- Understand the market, targeted customer personas, and good technical design principles through research and customer studies
- Work with Design team to provide feedback on design and the relation to construct, fit, fabric aspects.
- Create products that fulfil our brand mission of For Gamers. By Gamers, relatable to market and of good quality & value

Technical Development
- Work with Design team to produce technical drawings, specification sheets and ability to create detailed tech packs with accurate measurements for sampling to bulk stage.
- Partner with other designers in creating initial fabric and trims selections
- Review and evaluate lap-dips, fabrications, print strike-offs, proto to final samples together with design team
- Work with cross-functional partners in areas related to materials and trims, garment construction, development process, sustainability, and quality risk mitigation.
- Host fit sessions, working with mannequin/live models and provide feedback to suggest fit changes
- Identifies and addresses key issues and challenges in construction/manufacturing and plans accordingly to deliver proven and tested product
- Creates and maintains appropriate documentation for assigned products; ensures all appropriate development documentation is completed, including product specs, costing and prototype notes.

Project Management
- Monitors and communicates progress and challenges throughout the product testing process to meet product integrity requirements.
- Execute and translate fit comments in a timely manner to ensure sample development stays in line with overall timeline
- Collaborate with project management and design team to plan project timelines according to production and development days
- Maintain an organized archive of all tech packs and fit samples

Pre-Requisites:

- At least 4 - 7 years relevant work experience in a Fashion Design / Technical Design / Apparel development role
- Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design or relevant work experience / related discipline
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Possess a strong technical foundation in apparel construction and keen sensitivity to fashion trends
- Ability to read product specs and understand complex relationships
- Experience and good knowledge in apparel, bags, accessories packing design, safety regulatory, testing and certification qualification, especially for American, Asian, European market is a plus
- An impressive portfolio which demonstrates creative, thoughtful design through a variety of projects
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objective; problem solving skills
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment independently and as a team
- Must be proactive with a solution/result-oriented attitude and team player
- Creative flair and eye for details on fashion and graphic designs
- Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
- Good working knowledge Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
