Universal Parks & Resorts develops and licenses branded consumer goods and promotional products which are sold at retail theme parks and/or otherwise distributed worldwide. Product lines currently include toys, home product, children’s products, food/drinkware, apparel, souvenirs, jewelry, stationery, collectibles and candy/consumables.

The Product Developer will need to work with buyers, designers and international business partners to strategize and execute product development within the agreed timeframe across UPR-owned or -affiliated destination entertainment venues (both US and international)

This includes understanding or coordinating task related to product development, quality standard or delivery requirement set by different UPR-owned destination in accordance with regulations, Company’s brand standards and best practices.
- To work closely with Brand Manager, Supervisor and Compliances team during product development stage. This involves tracking of changes to licensor’s requirement, identifying manufacturing issues that may arise from design or quality elements and ensure material or components use of labels are accurate.
- To coordinate communication between business partners and key stakeholders on leveraging products and/or bidding.
- To communicate designs and product development with international buyers and to assist with translating product specific merchandise.
- To work with Local manufacturer from Indonesia or Vietnam to produce quality products that meets NBCU’s standard.
- To liaise with individual buyers and designers to source for product against specific brand and piece type required in South East Asia (specifically in Indonesia or Vietnam).
- To analyze and troubleshoot product issues in a timely manner and to ensure product development operations runs smoothly.
- To participate in UPRGM produce development meeting or calls conducted in other time zones
- To facilitate onboarding of new vendors for international parks and to carry out merchandising responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

**Qualifications**
**Basic Requirements**:

- At least 3 years of experience on international product development or in a similar Manufacturing experience.
- Able to understand how product components and materials work together both functionally and aesthetically.
- Familiar with product manufacturing knowledge and understand regulations across Asia countries such as Indonesia or Vietnam.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office products - especially with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint to generate reports.
- Able to prioritize and have analytical problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and have good time management skills managing multiple projects.
- Able to travel internationally as required.
- Able to communicate with non-English native speakers from other countries or culture.

**Desired Characteristics**:

- A Good team player with excellent communication skills, willing to meet and communicate with international business partners and being able to multitask.
- Passionate in product development and willing to work with colleagues or stakeholders from other countries and from different time zone.
- Understanding Indonesia or Vietnam product manufacturing background and with knowledge on exporting products to USA, Japan or China will be an advantage.
