**Role Overview**

The Head of Asia Operations is responsible for leading and evolving the operational infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region. This includes oversight of trade lifecycle management, regional regulatory compliance, and operational support for a diverse range of investment strategies and products. The role is based in Singapore and plays a critical part in aligning regional execution with global standards, while also adapting to local market requirements and growth initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Regional Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the Asia operations strategy in alignment with global objectives.
- Lead regional initiatives such as expansion into China and India, and support for new fund launches and trading books.
- Represent Asia Operations in global governance forums and ensure regional priorities are well-articulated.

2. Product & Market Coverage
- Oversee operational support for a broad range of products including:

- Rates and FX (spot, forwards, NDFs, swaps)
- Equities (cash, futures, options, single-name and index)
- Credit (CDS, bonds)
- Commodities (futures, options)
- Listed Derivatives (ETDs, KRW futures with pre-funding controls)
- Structured Products and OTC Derivatives
- Ensure robust controls for local market access, including pre-locate and short-marking rules in Hong Kong, Korea, and Singapore.

3. Operational Oversight
- Manage T0 and T+1 P&L production, trade affirmation, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
- Lead the Asia timezone control framework, including FX rolling timelines, CCF processes, and local PB relationships.
- Drive automation and control enhancements across trade support and fund operations.

4. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead a high-performing team across Singapore, Hong Kong, and satellite locations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, succession planning, and career development discussions.
- Ensure effective handovers and continuity planning during leadership transitions.

5. Regulatory & Compliance Alignment
- Ensure compliance with MAS and other regional regulatory bodies.
- Oversee onboarding of Appointed Representatives and ensure adherence to fund management licensing requirements.
- Maintain awareness of restricted lists, SEF rules, and market abuse regulations.

6. Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary liaison for PMs in Asia, understanding their trading styles, operational needs, and expansion plans.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Technology to support business growth and mitigate risk.

**Key Skills & Experience**
- 10+ years of experience in operations leadership within asset management or investment banking, with a strong Asia focus.
- Deep understanding of trade lifecycle processes and operational risk controls across multiple asset classes.
- Proven ability to manage cross-border teams and deliver in high-pressure environments.
- Familiarity with systems such as Murex, TriResolve, Clarion, and internal tools like RiskWeb and CounterpartyViewer.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leadership and regulators.
