Bim Modeler

We are seeking a skilled **BIM Modeller** with a background in both **architecture** and **structural engineering**.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, manage, and update **3D BIM models** for both **architectural** and **structural** aspects of projects using software such as **Revit**, **AutoCAD**, and **Navisworks**.
- Collaborate with **architects**, **structural engineers**, and other project stakeholders to integrate their designs and data into a cohesive model.
- Ensure that models are accurate and adhere to industry standards, **project specifications**, and **BIM execution plans** (BEP).
- Create and maintain detailed **drawings** and **construction documents** derived from BIM models.
- Coordinate model reviews, **clash detection**, and resolve any conflicts between architectural and structural elements using tools like **Navisworks Manage**.
- Support the **design and documentation** process by maintaining data-rich models and producing drawings for **design intent**, **construction**, and **fabrication**.
- Perform regular **quality checks** on the models to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Assist in the **development of BIM standards**, templates, and workflows for continuous improvement in the modeling process.
- Work with project teams to integrate **MEP**, **civil**, and other disciplines into the BIM model for overall project coordination.
- Attend coordination meetings and contribute to **design reviews**, discussing BIM-related issues and resolutions.

**Requirements**:
**Education**:

- Nitec, Higher Nitec, Degree, or Diploma in **Architecture**, **Structural Engineering**, or a related field.

**Experience**:

- 1.5+ years of experience in **BIM modeling** with expertise in **both architectural and structural disciplines**.
- Experience working on a range of projects, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure.
- Strong experience in **Revit**, **AutoCAD**, and **Navisworks**.
- Proficiency in **BIM collaboration tools** and methodologies such as **Clash Detection** and **4D/5D modeling**.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong understanding of **architectural design principles** and **structural engineering concepts**.
- Excellent proficiency in **Revit** (Architectural and Structural), with the ability to model, modify, and manage 3D models.
- Knowledge of **BIM Level 2 protocols**, **IFC standards**, and various BIM standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot and resolve discrepancies in models and drawings.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and a high level of organization.
- Familiarity with project management tools, coordination workflows, and **construction sequencing** is a plus.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of additional BIM software such as **Tekla Structures**, **Dynamo**, or **Rhino**.
- Certifications in **BIM** (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, RICS BIM Certification).
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices or **LEED** certification is advantageous.

Pay: $2,200.00 - $3,200.00 per month
