Sun Life, a global leader in financial services and insurance, is seeking an exceptional individual to join our Asia Sustainability team as Senior Manager, Sustainability. This role is pivotal in advancing our core Purpose: helping Clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives. Our commitment to sustainability plays an important part in achieving that.

Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, Asia, this role will support the development and execution of key sustainability initiatives across our Asia Business Group (BG). The senior manager will work with stakeholders across the organization to advance our Asia sustainability plan, leverage our unique business capabilities to address societal challenges, and innovate through products, services, investments and partnerships to deliver positive financial security and health outcomes for current and future Clients. They will support various governance activities and lead employee engagement efforts to increase awareness and understanding of sustainability at Sun Life. In addition, the senior manager will support our Asia Business Units (BUs) in the monitoring and delivery of regulatory required sustainability disclosures.

**What you'll do**:

- Support the execution of Sun Life Asia's sustainability plan - helping to integrate solutions throughout the BUs and Functions. The plan aims to drive both societal and business value for the Asia BG.
- Monitor upcoming sustainability-related regulatory requirements impacting the Asia BG and support BUs in better understanding and disclosing BU-specific climate and sustainability data.
- Manage ongoing projects which aim to deliver innovative solutions for underserved groups and lead engagements between corporate and BU teams.
- Support monthly and quarterly governance activities (e.g., leadership and stakeholder meetings on sustainability).
- Manage employee and stakeholder engagement activities including ownership of the sustainability content on our websites.

**What you'll need to succeed**:

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in sustainability strategy development and experience in execution in large organizations
- Well-organized and self-motivated, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Proficiency in project management and demonstrated ability to coordinate and influence internal stakeholders
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Expertise on issues such as social impact and climate change
- Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years experience in a sustainability role

Assets:

- Experience in global financial services organizations
- Knowledge of regional sustainability reporting frameworks
- Master’s degree in sustainability or equivalent
