The Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIE) at Duke-NUS Medical School (Duke-NUS) is responsible for building a vibrant and creative ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre. This ecosystem includes engaging internal (researchers, clinicians and students) and external (companies, investors, entrepreneurs) stakeholders to promote networking and collaboration. We do this by organising a variety of events including networking, seminars and workshops, hackathons/pitches/funding programmes, and communicating opportunities and success stories.
- Build and maintain solid partnerships within OIE teams including the Centre for Technology and Development (CTeD), Business Development and Industry Alliances (BDIA), and the Contracts and Industry Engagement Department (CIE), as well as with Duke NUS faculty and external investor/industry stakeholders to better develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate strategic communications designed to meet OIE’s goals.
- Devise and lead virtual and/or in-person monthly or twice-monthly events that network Duke-NUS inventors with external stakeholders that showcase successes. This includes, with assistance from the administrative team:
- Support event planning, budget, strategy and development, and liaising with local and international speakers.
- Support the design of event experience, ensuring a high-quality level of delivery.
- Oversee programme brief, venue layout, seating plans, and any necessary documents required for external and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and improve the stakeholder experience at each event, collating feedback and incorporating improvements in future events.
- Assist in the management of event communications, CRM system and EDM.
- Develop stakeholder communications, including a digital newsletter or other format and social medial channels. These shall include, with assistance from the administrative team:
- Develop and distribute a quarterly digital blog/newsletter that highlights events and programmes, and significant news relating to industry collaborations and technology transfer at Duke-NUS (as advised by CTED, BDIA and CIE).
- Develop a social media strategy and presence for OIE.
- Work with Duke-NUS’ Communications & Strategic Relations Department to provide input and guidance on the OIE website.
- Work with Duke-NUS’ Communications & Strategic Relations Department to oversee and manage analytics related to our internal and external newsletters, electronic mailers, digital marketing collaterals, SMM, boosted posts, videos and future publications.
- Manage internal and external designers to develop digital and print collateral to showcase opportunities and successes.
**Job Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications or related discipline, preferably with a focus on Science. An advanced degree is not essential but would be advantageous.
