Role Summary:

- The Project Engineer is responsible for detailed review and engineering in providing technical and engineering assistance on Gas seal auxiliary system from selection, specification review, calculations, P&ID, system description and clean order input to design engineering team.
- Support the Gas seal system engineering activities and respond to technical queries and needs of customers and commercial operations team.
- Take complete ownership for standard system engineering submittal documents from engineering.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

- Review order input data, for the Gas seal auxiliary systems design, sizing and selection for orders and proposals.
- Create engineering and submittal documents as below.

Project hand off

Specification and compliance and Exceptions log review

Reference drawings search and calculations

Work instructions for design

Creation of Instrument data sheets, Utilities consumption list, Alarm settings table, Logic diagram and control narrative for wet seal systems
- Creation of Inspection test plan (ITP) and Installation and Operating Manual (IOM) in accordance with Vendor requirements

Liaise with various component manufacturers on need basis and obtain pertinent data or info related to designing of panels.
- Perform dimensional and design check on the output of design engineering team and submittal documents for technical integrity and in line with seal design and associated sizing, flow rates and heat load calculations.
- Review revision requests and design changes and document lessons learnt to overcome internal errors and improve the Quality to achieve a good first pass yield.
- Use in-house tools like Engineering Information System, Application Engineering Program and Imaging, to process and manage engineering tasks on a daily base.
- Supervise and provide technical advice during Gas seal system FAT / SAT / commissioning.
- Maintain a daily log of activities and weekly reports of jobs processed for reporting manager review on a regular base.
- Embrace CIP culture and promote improvement initiatives that improve the efficiency of process and team, performance and reliability of product.
- Perform checking and team job planning activities on need basis.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

- Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation / Mechanical Engineering with industrial experience are prefeed.
- Working experience on mechanical seals & sealing systems and Gas seals and Panels will be added advantage.
- Knowledge in AutoCAD / Autodesk Inventor / Solidworks and design in preparing assembly and component drawings in 2D and 3D.
- Familiar with Mechanical engineering design and ANSI / API standard
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering specifications and drawings.
- Knowledge in basic calculations for structural analysis, flow, orifice, heat load, pressure drop etc.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) and strong self - motivation, willingness to learn and work ethic.
