**Overview**

Transport & Logistics (“T&L”) is a business line of ING Wholesale Banking Sector Coverage providing financial solutions to leading players in Automotive, Aviation, Containers & Logistics, Land Transport and Shipping. It is a dynamic team with offices in Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, New York, Singapore and Tokyo. The Singapore team (~15 FTE) is looking for a talented Associate focussing on clients in Shipping and Containers & Logistics.

Our strategy is to use sector knowledge to develop a client base and together with product partners originate mandates across ING’s product offering with a key focus on lending (bilateral, club and syndicated), sustainable finance and financial markets (fuel, foreign exchange and interest rate hedging). The T&L sector is fast evolving and plays a vital role in today’s supply chains and global economy. As digitisation and sustainability are gaining momentum, you are set for an exciting environment to operate in. The associate role is at the heart of our team with exposure to clients and (shared) responsibilities on credit, market and financial analysis.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the deal principal in (day-to-day) management of client relationships.
- Prepare credit packages and process client reviews independently.
- Assist in deal execution.
- Build/test financial models and perform financial analysis.
- Collaborate with key product partners in sustainable finance, financial markets, debt capital markets, capital structuring and advisory and transaction services.
- Draft term sheets and assist in review of transaction legal documentation.
- Assist in the coordination of client due diligence (know-your-customer) process.
- Handle the back end of client processes and transactions on a semi-independent basis.
- Preparation of various operational monitoring reports and management information data.
- Prepare high quality presentations and pitches to prospects and clients.
- Assist in identifying origination opportunities and monitoring market developments.
- Provide input to market updates.
- Manage ad-hoc projects /client related information requests.

**Requirements**:

- 3 to 6 years of relevant working experience in the financial services sector.
- Experience in financial analysis and financial modelling.
- Previous exposure to Shipping and Containers & Logistics is preferred.
- An effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail oriented, systematic and strong analytical skills.
- High level of self-motivation and professionalism with ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently on complex transactions and under challenging timelines.
- Good command of spoken and written English, Mandarin is a plus.
