**Minimum qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.- 6 years of experience as an Executive Operations Lead, managing systems portfolios and Technical teams.- Experience managing mission-critical logistics or supply chain systems and operations, teams, and processes.**Preferred qualifications**:
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional business units to meet company goals and standards.
- Experience working with and leading diverse internal and external teams and a variety of stakeholders, and in executing strategies to deliver exceptional solutions.
- Understanding of networks and server hardware architecture, including deployment and maintenance.
- Ability to influence at all levels across regions.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, as needed.
- Excellent people management and leadership skills.
**About the job**:
Google isn't just a software company. The Hardware Operations team is responsible for monitoring the state-of-the-art physical infrastructure behind Google's powerful search technology. As a Hardware Operations Manager, you will manage a team of Data Center Technicians. You will oversee the quality installation of server hardware and components and take charge of complicated installations/troubleshooting.
Your team will install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware (like servers and its components) and server software (like Google's Linux cluster). They will also take on the configuration of more complex components such as networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches and networking protocols. They may lead small project teams on larger installations and develop project contingency plans.

**Responsibilities**:
- Lead operation and support of the Data Center site computing hardware, networking operations and logistics processes.
- Work with third-party service vendors and manage the related processes and results.
- Collaborate as a member of the regional and global leadership team to drive operations toward company objectives.
- Work with internal/external partners to implement strategy, including community affairs and relationships. Work with cross-functional teams to identify problems and create solutions that impact the region.
- Propose innovation and strategies for cost effective and efficient Data Center logistics processes and server operations.
