**The Opportunity**

CIG is looking for a Principal Knowledge Officer (PKO) to write and edit CIG’s materials, which fall largely into the following broad categories.
- Strategy documents. These detail CIG’s perspectives of what “good” government entail and form the intellectual basis for the development of CIG’s products and services.
- CIG publications and knowledge products. These include _Governance Matters _or the Chandler Good Governance Index Report. It could also include research and writing of case studies and shorter analytical pieces.
- Toolkits and practice guides. CIG assists governments with architecting organisations, and building systems and processes. To facilitate this process, CIG develops practical toolkits and guides which government officials can refer to during the implementation process.
- Other materials for external audiences. This could include CIG’s corporate profile, brochures, proposals to potential funders and partners, etc.

**Experience & Aptitudes**
- This means writing with a flair that engages the reader. It also means writing with clarity and precision to inform and persuade.
