Head of Trade Finance

Develop and implement a comprehensive GTF strategy, aligned with Global Transaction Banking business objectives and market trends to deliver the Bank’s strategy, purpose and ambition.
- Develop Singapore as Regional Twins Hub to build regional trade capabilities and scale up cross border trade flows origination across Asean and Greater China in OCBC core markets and network branches.
- Drive growth and profitability in core markets, identifying new opportunities and expanding our client base.
- Lead Trade Sales and Supply Chain Financing Solutions teams in sales origination across Global Wholesale Bank covering large corporates and SMEs; providing trade solutions and advisory on international trade finance, structured trade, risk mitigation, working capital and supply chain finance solutions.
- Oversee the development and implementation of innovative trade services and finance solutions, leveraging technology and digital capabilities to enhance customer experience and efficiency.
- Manage and mitigate product and operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of trade professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and industry associations.
- Stay abreast of global trade trends and regulatory developments, proactively adapting our strategy to optimize performance.
- Collaborate closely with other business units within the Bank to deliver integrated One Bank solutions to capture operating accounts and flows of our clients.

**Qualifications**

Proven track record of success in leading and growing global trade finance businesses within a reputable financial institution.
- Deep understanding of international trade services and finance products and regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and risk management.
- Proven experience in execution of structured supply chain finance / receivable financing deals that require extensive knowledge of limited-recourse structured finance / securitization programs / asset-backed lending solutions.
- Advanced degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in trade services and finance in a regional capacity, including covering trade sales, product development, and supply chain financing.
