The Digital Office (DGO) under the Science and Technology Division (S&T) designs, builds, and refreshes SFA’s digital capabilities and systems to enable effective, efficient, and resilient organisation processes.

**About the Role**:

- **Derive business insights from structured and unstructured data sources for strategic planning as well as operations to enhance efficiency, reliability and performance across the organisation - includes assembling, transforming, and analysing data for functional business requirements**
- **Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand data analytics needs and devise possible solutions, data visualisations, reports and dashboards**
- **Devise and utilise algorithms and models to mine data, perform data and error analysis to improve models, clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy**
- **Lead on strategic data research, communicate insights, solutions, and recommendations to Management and key stakeholders**
- **Build and upskill data analytics capabilities across the organisation**
- **Drive transformative efforts (e.g. RPA) - track, monitor and identify gaps for improvement**:
**Requirements and Skills**:

- **Degree **with **a background in Data Science, Applied Mathematics & Statistics, Business Analytics, or STEM disciplines**
- **A keen interest in data science and analytics**
- **Good problem solving and effective communication skills to coordinate and collaborate with policy and operations divisions to scope data research projects, develop data research methodologies, and conduct data research**
- **Self-starter with a passion for learning new technologies/tools, able to contribute independently and as a team member**
- **Be inquisitive, innovative and an advocate for best practices and continuous learning**
- **Driving outcomes by thinking strategically with a transformational mindset**
- **Ability to integrate and synthesise research and data across multiple sources to derive meaningful conclusions**
- **Good presentation and communication skills with ability to express complex ideas, data concepts, and outcomes of analysis clearly to business audiences**
- **Knowledge in statistical programming tools (e.g., Python, R), database languages (e.g. SQL), visualisation tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau) and RPA software (e.g UiPath) would be advantageous**
