Role Overview
To support the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of digital employee experiences through Microsoft Viva Connections and SharePoint. This role focuses on enhancing engagement, communication, and community-building across the organization, with the opportunity to grow into a broader role encompassing the full Viva suite. The role also plays a key part in engaging with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into meaningful digital solutions.
Role Responsibilities
Platform Enablement & Content Management
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of Viva Connections dashboards, feeds, and resources.
- Support the creation and curation of SharePoint content hubs, intranet pages, and communication sites.
- Ensure content is accessible, up-to-date, and aligned with internal branding and messaging standards.
Business Engagement & Solution Design
- Engage directly with business users to understand their needs, challenges, and goals related to employee experience.
- Translate business requirements into practical solutions using Viva and SharePoint capabilities.
- Educate stakeholders on the digital workplace roadmap and guide them toward aligned, scalable solutions.
Engagement & Adoption
- Collaborate with P&C, Communications, and IT to promote awareness and usage of Viva Connections and SharePoint features.
- Help coordinate campaigns, surveys, and feedback loops to measure employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Support onboarding and training initiatives to drive adoption of digital workplace tools.
Support & Operations
- Provide Level 2 support for Viva and SharePoint-related queries, escalating as needed. - Assist in documenting processes, FAQs, and user guides to support self-service and knowledge sharing.
- Monitor usage analytics and contribute to reporting on engagement trends and improvement opportunities.
Growth & Development
- Stay informed about Microsoft Viva roadmap updates and new features.
- Participate in internal learning opportunities and cross-team initiatives to expand knowledge across the Viva suite (e.g., Viva Insights, Learning, Goals, Engage).
- Contribute ideas to enhance the employee experience through digital tools and storytelling.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Design or comparable industry experience.
Relevant Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in a communications, HR, IT, or digital workplace support role (internships included).
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 tools in academic or professional settings.
- Experience supporting end-users or managing content in SharePoint is advantageous.
- (preferred) Participation in Microsoft Learn and/or Viva-related learning paths.
- Experience with User Experience, User Centric and UI Design.
- Experience with responsive and iterative design.
Professional Accreditations
Microsoft certifications (Viva/SharePoint-related) are desirable
Professional Knowledge/ Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with business users.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft 365, particularly SharePoint Online and Viva Connections and Copilot
- Ability to translate user needs into digital solutions using available tools.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and user experience.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with intranet design, digital communications, or employee engagement is a plus.
