We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Controller to join our organization. As a Finance Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our company's operations in Singapore and ensuring compliance with local regulations and reporting to the HQ in Japan. Your role will involve strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring financial transparency and integrity. You will play a critical role in driving the financial success of our organization in the Asian region market.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with the Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and other applicable regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts specific to the Singaporean operations, providing accurate and timely financial information to senior management and stakeholders.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the market, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Manage cash flow and working capital of the Singapore operations to optimize liquidity and ensure efficient use of financial resources.
- Coordinate and oversee the annual financial audit process for the Singaporean operations, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and timely completion of audits.
- Monitor and analyze key financial metrics and performance indicators specific to the Asian market, evaluating the financial health and profitability of the company's operations in Singapore.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support for decision-making processes related to the Singaporean operations.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations specific to Singapore, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), and coordinate with external tax advisors as necessary.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team in Singapore, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure professional growth and development.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience of at least 4 to 5 years as a Finance Controller or in a similar senior financial management role, preferably within a Singapore-based organization or multinational company operating in Singapore.
- Strong knowledge of the Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS), tax regulations, and financial practices specific to the Singaporean market.
- In-depth understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques applicable in the Singapore context.
- Proficient in financial software systems and advanced proficiency in MS Excel for financial analysis and modelling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights relevant to the Asian market.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven track record of managing and developing a finance team in the Singaporean context.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to Singaporean regulations and reporting requirements.
