As Asia Area Commercial Director, Oncology, you will play an essential role in achieving success in our ongoing Oncology launches and in maximizing the potential of our existing Oncology portfolio to make a positive impact on changing clinical practice and patients’ lives.
This role can be located in one of Asia Area offices in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam.
**What you’ll do**
As the Asia Area Commercial Director for Oncology, you will:
- Establish and steer Asia Area Oncology strategy in collaboration with the markets in developing best-in-class pre-launch and launch plans, accelerating these plans, and delivering launch performance across the Asia Area markets.
- Work closely with multiple stakeholders including the Asia Area region, the International Commercial team and the Global Commercial team to ensure alignment of Oncology scientific, commercial and patient objectives.
- Drive patient centricity and innovation through all aspects of Oncology products global commercialization and marketing programs.
- Appropriately manage governance interactions and alignment across senior and regional leadership, cross-functional teams, and other key stakeholders to provide well-coordinated input into critical business decisions.
- Develop Asia Area Oncology network, ensuring best practice sharing and ongoing capability build is in place for the area.
- Continuously scan our internal portfolio and external market to identify new commercial opportunities that will drive our Oncology strategy and growth.
- Act as a member of the Asia Area Leadership Team, in leading the Asia Area business, driving our Growth Through Innovation strategy and role modelling enterprise leadership behaviors.
**Essential for the role**
- Proven expertise, experience and success in Oncology, with an in-depth knowledge of relevant patient journeys.
- Strong business and financial acumen with successful market product launch experiences.
- Proven success as a Business Unit Director, preferably in Oncology, and in a medium to large size and complex high-growth market.
- Demonstrated excellent influencing skills and stakeholder management.
- Experience in working in a matrix environment with the agility to work across different countries and cultures.
English fluency, with demonstrated experience and effectiveness in the presentation of written and verbal business cases to the senior management.
**Desirable for the role**
- Solid knowledge and understanding of Asia Area markets, especially pertaining to Oncology, including diagnostic infrastructure, market access and reimbursement requirements.
- Demonstrating flexibility and a proven ability to deal with complexity under high intensity and time pressure situations.
- A flexible, team orientated attitude, willing to contribute one’s own skills to deliver AZ and Asia Area priorities.
