About Us

A*STAR’s Institute of Material Research and Engineering (IMRE) hosts A*STAR’s Quantum Coordination Office (QCO).

QCO brings together expertise in quantum technologies and collaborations for applied quantum research across the whole A*STAR organisation. We work closely with the National Quantum Office and Singapore’s quantum ecosystem to build new national capabilities in quantum technologies.

In this role, you get to
- Gain a deep understanding of the Singapore Quantum Ecosystem and operations of a research centre by working closely with our scientists, marketing, administrative team and external partners.
- Engage companies, government agencies and the international quantum community to understand their businesses, technology needs for quantum technologies.
- Strategise and work with Singapore’s quantum community to develop applied quantum technologies in accordance to the National Quantum Strategy
- Lead project scoping with internal and external stakeholders to establish communication plans, build project or programme schedules and establish clear deliverables and milestones.
- Lead the programme proposal to secure funding and coordinate programme activities to accomplish strategic objectives.

At QCO, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how we reach and interact with companies as well as the international quantum community. You will have the opportunity to work with renowned international researchers, overseas quantum centres and quantum start-ups to enhance R&D collaborations in quantum technologies.

Job Requirements

Qualification & Field of Study

Bachelor/Masters/PhD degree in Quantum-related discipline

Min. Years of Experience

At least 5 to 10 years’ of experience in research or business development or commercialisation

Effective and thoughtful communicator
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong organisation and administrative skills
Resourceful and able to work with mínimal supervision, independently and in a team
Willing, adaptable and flexible to take on required/necessary tasks beyond the job description
A self-starter and problem solver who can proactively address any situation
Able to identify and contextualize stakeholder issues and manage them appropriately.
Manage key account relationships with government agencies, MNCs, SMEs and start-ups
