Singapore PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL LINES (PRIVATE) LIMITED Full time

You will be a key person to execute select projects and manage a portfolio of agencies in PIL’s global shipping agency network. These projects typically drive strategic and investment initiatives in key markets.

**Responsibilities**:

- You will be assigned specific projects and be a key HQ liaison (Person-In-Charge, or “PIC”) for corporate/governance matters related to your assigned project.
- You will have good project management skills and ensure that your assigned projects are on schedule.
- You will need to be able to plan and implement/execute the action plan to setup new ship agencies and produce relevant and accurate updates as required to the General Manager and Team Lead.
- You will undertake market/country research and provide analytical support to drive business decisions and strategic initiatives, including evaluation of investment opportunities, business proposals, obtaining relevant corporate approvals and execution of key agreements and other legal/corporate documents.
- You will conduct thorough analysis of projected business performance/impact of your portfolio of ship agencies by providing direction to the agency heads/management.
- Supervise on portfolio basis monthly accurate reporting as required for the performances, trends and results of your portfolio agencies via P&L, DSO/Aging Report and other Principal/Line KPIs, including updating of dashboard and periodic e-meet/calls with the agency heads/management.
- Provide management support to drive sound corporate entity/structure, decisions and strategic initiatives; including internal audits, tax, transfer pricing, risk, compliance, regulatory and orporate governance functions.
- You will liaise/communicate directly with the key persons (overseas and in Singapore) for information gathering, report writing, and general monitoring of your assigned projects and agencies in your portfolio.
- Project work can include corporate restructuring, new setups, mergers/acquisitions, greenfield/brownfield investments, etc.
- You will be required to travel overseas and be mobile.

**Required Qualifications & Skills**:

- Degree in STEM, Finance, Business, Economics, Maritime or related discipline with about 5 years of relevant shipping experience.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) & people management.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PPT).
