The Deputy Manager, Wind Engineering is an integral part of the Keppel Renewable Energy development team, providing direct support in technical matters related to the design and engineering of utility scale wind projects in APAC.

As a Wind Engineering Deputy Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Support the preliminary technical due diligence of prospective wind energy projects
- Evaluate project constraints and design optimal project layouts utilizing a variety of software in order to maximize project value
- Design site measurement campaigns, analyze available meteorological datasets, and establish opinion of long-term resource characteristics at multiple project sites
- Monitor/Lead Met Mast construction and/or Remote Sensing Devices (i.e. Sodar and/or Lidar) and installation campaigns as well as wind data gathering, storage and cleaning.
- Model expected energy production and affiliated key metrics, including gross and net capacity factors, production profiles (8760s, diurnals), energy uncertainty, and probability values
- Support pre-construction efforts by maintaining project site plans, inclusive of wind turbine layout, preliminary electrical collection cable and access road siting, and other balance of plant considerations, as well as facilitating preliminary and final geotechnical investigations.
- Conduct site visits to support site evaluation and wind turbine micro siting. Participate in landowner meetings, community outreach events, and construction meetings
- Maintain working knowledge of wind turbine technology and affiliated technical and market trends. Work with wind turbine Original Equipment Manufacturers, to optimize equipment selection for projects as it relates to power curves, operational modes, mechanical suitability considerations, and curtailment strategies
- Interface with the project development, origination, finance, environmental, and GIS teams/consultants to support project development, marketing, financing, construction and permitting efforts. Interface with the project management and operations teams leading up to and through project commercial operation, including involvement in public hearings and environmental and social assessment activities where necessary.
- Lead in procurement efforts for wind farms across APAC: Assist in developing technical deliverables for procurement RFPs, manage EPCs and OEMs in these procurement process including submission clarifications and negotiations, summarize and analyze the received data, propose/rank the submitted responses to management.
**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering or related technical discipline
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the renewable energy industry or related industries is preferred
- Proficient in related engineering software for wind projects (Wasp, Windographer, Open Wind, etc.)
- Attention to detail is a must, able to demonstrate sound engineering judgement
- Ability to multi-task and manage deliverables for multiple projects at a time
- Knowledge of GIS software like Global Mapper, and/or ArcGIS/QGIS, AutoCAD software
- Understanding of statistical analysis and linear regression models, preferably as it pertains to meteorological data sources, and MCP methodology
- Familiarity with modeling energy project economics and with concepts such as NPV, IRR and LCOE

**Salary**: $5,000.00 - $9,000.00 per month
