**Deputy Engineering Manager**

Contract 24 months, Singapore

**Responsibilities**:

- Co-ordination with site Client engineering and construction team to resolve any concerns.
- Co-ordination of internal and external engineering activities and the interdisciplinary interface in close coordination with the discipline team lead engineers.
- Responsible to Review construction engineering deliverables according to project requirement and standards/Codes.
- Coordination between Fabrication yard Document control and engineering team to ensure the latest engineering deliverable used for fabrication.
- Prepare any missing information details required for construction in line discussion and conclusion with engineering team.
- Site changes and construction impact follow up with engineering and get the approval.
- Site visit / clash study and mark-up for missing detail information required to construction team.
- Initiate to Solve the RFI between Engineering and fabricator during the Shop drawing preparation by fabricator
- Coordinate between QC team and construction team to resolve any engineering issue.
- Monitor and following up Shop drawing schedule with fabricator to meet construction progress
- Maintain multi discipline Site issue log to follow up and close out purpose.
- Overview of process and technical safety and familiar with P&IDs supporting the site pre-commissioning activities.
- Mechanical equipment installation and mechanical completion assistance to Construction team
- Co-ordinate and follow up with construction and QC team for Final As-built documentation.
- Co-ordinate between construction/QC team and engineering lead to follow up and close out engineering punch list.

Structure/Architecture:

- Responsible to Review construction engineering deliverables such as Structure Shop drawings, Weld maps, Cutting plan, Nesting plan.
- Monitor the steel structural material availability in site as per engineering MTO.
- Monitor the Architectural material availability in site as per engineering MTO.
- Monitor construction using the latest engineering drawing revision for shop drawing preparation.
- Co-ordination with Engineering and Construction teams to clear site TQs
- Attend constructability review meeting with construction teams
- Review of Red line mark-up from fabricator and check the As built documents.
- Progress reporting and highlighting any concerns at early stage.

Piping:

- Review construction engineering deliverables such as cutting plans, weld maps, spool fabrication drawing.
- Review field joints requirements for spool/ equipment installations.
- Co
- ordinate Flange management activities with construction team.
- Co -ordinate Hydro test and other integrity tests with Construction & QC team
- Check dimensional accuracy of the piping systems as per project tolerance requirements.
- Check co-ordinates of interface points as per Approved Tie
- in register.
- Co-ordinate marking on installed pipe spools post installation.
- Review red line mark up from fabricators and check As built documents.
- Progress reporting and highlighting any concerns at early stage.

Electrical and Instrumentation:

- Responsible to Review E&I construction engineering deliverable such as Typical installation drawing, Cable ladder layout (below 300mm), Cable cutting plan, E&I support material qty.
- Coordinate contractor to study and prepare cable length as per site condition.
- Monitor the E&I material availability in site as per engineering MTO.
- E&I equipment installation mechanical completion co-ordination.
- Review red line mark up from construction team and check As built documents

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree or long relevant experience may replace formal education
- Ideally 8 years of experience within the offshore industry, including previous experience as (deputy or area) engineering manager for at least one substantial and successful (safe, on budget & schedule, high uptime) offshore project either for an oil & gas operator, an FPSO/Fixed platform contractor or an offshore EPC contractor
- Ideally 5 years of experience within the FPSO/Fixed platform industry
- International and multi-cultural experience will be preferred
- Understand the various engineering disciplines and their interaction
- In depth knowledge of the relevant requirements of the classification societies and international rules and regulations
- Good understanding of major construction and lease contracts
- Good knowledge of engineering management processes and systems
- Good understanding of Safety Case process (Engineering phase)
- Good understanding of Marine systems and area design
- Good understanding ships and / or FPSO/Fixed platform, as well as shipyard and fabrication yard activities
- Good knowledge of setting up assurance and verification schemes, and engineering work processes
