Overview Job title: Deputy General Manager (Electrical Engineering - Construction)Reference ID: 36096Our client, a prominent construction company, is seeking a Deputy General Manager with extensive experience in Electrical Engineering within the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring construction projects, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and operational growth. This position reports directly to the General Manager. Responsibilities Lead and manage the Construction Team for Design & Build / A&A Projects, ensuring high-performance standards. Provide cause-driven leadership, focusing on quality and delivering metric-driven outcomes to support the company's strategic and business plans. Reach out externally to plan for business development and ensure operational growth. Build a strong network in the construction and engineering industry. Biweekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for project updates and reporting to the leader of the Singapore Branch and Japan Head Office. Achieve the desired targets in the specified time, completing tasks correctly, timely and at minimum possible cost. Ensure on-time delivery of projects. Provide leadership and managerial guidance to all M&E Engineers. Provide mentorship and support to the QS team in tender bidding and proposals for M&E Engineering projects. Oversee daily operations and manage the yearly capital budget, ensuring business operations run efficiently. Communicate regularly with counterparts in Japan for project alignment and updates. Proficient in English and Chinese to liaise with contractors Proven track record in managing M&E projects, particularly within a Japanese construction company.
