**Key Responsibilities**
- **Menu Development & Innovation**- Create and regularly update authentic North & South Indian dishes; design seasonal specials; balance tradition with modern presentation.
- **Operational Excellence**- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring timely preparation and smooth service.
- **Leadership & Training**- Hire, train, and mentor Sous Chefs, Junior Chefs, and Helpers; set performance standards.
- **Quality & Consistency**- Standardize recipes, ensure consistent taste, portion size, and presentation.
- **Cost & Inventory Management**- Control food costs, minimize wastage, manage stock rotation, and liaise with suppliers for quality sourcing.
- **Compliance**- Ensure SFA food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards are met.

**Skills & Competencies**
- Deep expertise in Indian cuisines (North & South, including tandoor, curries, biryani, breads).
- Proven leadership in a high-volume restaurant.
- Menu engineering and cost control knowledge.
- Strong communication, training, and problem-solving skills.
- Creativity balanced with operational discipline.

**Key Information**
- Reports to: Restaurant Manager / Owner
- Supervises: Sous Chef, Junior Chefs, Kitchen Helpers
- Role type: Full-time, 6-day roster, shifts including weekends/public holidays
