Singapore NEWMARK REAL ESTATE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. Full time

This position reports to the Assistant Controller. Core responsibilities include the documentation, development, maintenance, and enhancement of accounting and compliance infrastructure throughout APAC. Responsible for taking the lead in coordinating various departments to establish the necessary reporting parameters including the establishment of chart accounts, financial reporting formats, timing requirements, accounting basis and banking. Responsible for the posting of journal entries and maintaining the general ledger accounts and reports. This role will have direct interaction with business managers, operations management, Newmark partners.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and review income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting reports. Make corrections as necessary.
- Preparation of journal entries for records following local GAAP; including supporting backup.
- Audit financial reports and records, making studies or recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, revenue and expenditures. Make corrections as necessary.
- Oversee the analysis and reconciliation of the general ledger reports and accounts. Close ledgers and generate monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions to resolve reconciling items and technical accounting issues.
- Completes various accounting and other projects as needed.
- Review cash flow and monitor cash requirements for all out-going cash including loans and payments.
- Review monthly and quarterly financial packages.
- Monitor/ track partner cost and relationships, analyzing and preparing journal entries to accrue cost.
- Liaise with and maintain direct relationships with partners and affiliates; preparing reporting and reconciliations as required.
- May perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Bachelors Degree or higher
- Minimum 5 to 8 _years _related work experience
- Experience with computerized accounting systems, Oracle preferred
