**Job Description**:
About the General Manager Role and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the overall quality and profitability of the restaurant in both the front and back of the house
- Ensure that all personnel and systems function efficiently so that guests are satisfied, the business achieves budgeted profit levels, and employee morale is maintained. You will be based in our restaurant in Japan, when it opens on a seasonal basis and will be back in Singapore to help with the local operations.
- Key Responsibilities:
Restaurant Operations
- Ensure efficient and effective F&B operations and that customer service standards are maintained at all times
- Work with team members in service and food preparation to minimize wastage and increase productivity and efficiency
- Monitor guest reactions and confer frequently with service staff or captains to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Liaise with the chef to keep menus and menu descriptions updated
- React to any customer complaints and takes necessary action
- Handle customer correspondence as necessary
- In charge of website maintenance - posting relevant events, updating menus, etc.

Profitability and Cost Control
- Monitor and minimize wastage of consumables and maintain labor productivity ratios.
- Assist chefs and sommeliers with tracking food and beverage costs as requested
- Monitor purchasing of collaterals
- Utilizes budgets to understand financial objectives

Employee management
- Lead the team, drive everyone towards a common goal
- Instill a sense of urgency in the staff
- Recruit, classify, interview potential employees
- Conduct training as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and/or maintain profitability
- Conduct weekly manager meetings to increase communication
- Process hiring information, introduce employee manual, properly orient new employees
- Ensure that all employee benefits and meals are consistently applied
- Recognize the importance of employee morale and help to maintain
- Deal with any conflicts regarding staff
- Handle discipline as needed

Additional Responsibilities
- Manage all financial performance and make the necessary adjustments to meet and exceed the financial goals of the outlet.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant government regulatory requirements
- Maintain regular communication with group CEO
- Key Requirements:

- Successful, solid experience in a similar role
- A global perspective, with sensitivity to other cultures
- Ability to develop and handle overall restaurant operations

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
