Senior Assistant Director, Carbon Markets Academy

The Carbon Market Academy of Singapore ("CMAS") aspires to be Asia's top academy for carbon management education, with an emphasis on supporting Singapore's objective of becoming a Carbon Services and Trading Hub for Southeast Asia and the Asia Pacific region. It is looking for a Senior Assistant Director who will work closely with various parts of the university and the industry to achieve its goals. This position provides the platform for the Senior Assistant Director to play an important part in building a pipeline of talent with requisite knowledge and skills in carbon management in Asia and to exert his or her abilities to build a strong linkage between the university and the industry. **Job Description**: The Senior Assistant Director will play a key role in managing and expanding the operations of the Carbon Market Academy of Singapore, aimed at becoming Asia's top academy for carbon management education. This role will focus on driving industry partnerships, managing the Academy's resources, and enhancing its presence in carbon services and trading across Southeast Asia. The role will also include working closely with stakeholders to harness resources and manage the delivery of practice-oriented thought leadership through publications such as whitepapers and case studies. Key Responsibilities: - Brand Building: Develop and Execute strategy for external communications and brand building initiatives through a variety of modalities so as to build CMAS' mindshare in Singapore and the surrounding region. - Thought Leadership: Develop and Mature CMAS' pipeline of collaborations / initiatives to publish thought-leadership pieces (case studies / whitepapers), in collaboration with Faculty and Industry partners. Lead the execution of the editorial and publication efforts by leveraging on CMAS' and wider NTU resources to do so. - Course Development: Develop and Execute a course development strategy aligned with CMAS' mission that is informed by the strategic identification of demand-supply gaps and the competitive landscape within Singapore and the surrounding region. Stakeholder Engagement & Resource Management: In relation to the initiatives above, establish and leverage key stakeholder relationships (both internal and external) whilst harnessing CMAS' resources and the wider NTU capabilities so as to delivery effectively against CMAS' objectives. - A good bachelor's degree and proven high quality academic achievements. - At least 10 years of work experience, prior relevant experience will be an added advantage. - Knowledge and experience in business development and programme management. Experience in marketing and branding will be an advantage. - Strong strategic thinking and possess an analytical mind. - Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills. - Confident and proactive with demonstrated dynamism and resourcefulness in problem solving. - Ability to work with people of various levels and cultures, with excellent interpersonal skills. - Good commercial understanding of the local marketplace, coupled with an ability to establish wide networks and strong relationships with management of different companies. - Versatile, Independent self-starter who takes ownership and accountability. - Strong influencing skills, with a proven ability to provide pragmatic solutions. - Ability to pro-actively identify and prioritize tasks and be able to escalate matters of significance while retaining the responsibility for them. - Demonstrated interest in Sustainability and/or Carbon Market related topics would be advantageous.
