Nippon Life Asia Pacific (Regional HQ) Pte. Ltd. (hereafter referred to as "NLAP") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nippon Life Insurance Company (hereafter referred to as "NLIC"). Since incorporation, NLAP is engaged in providing support services to NLIC. These support services include market research and information gathering, investment development, general assistance services, and affiliates-related services as detailed in the Service Agreement entered into between NLIC and NLAP. Such services are primarily focused on assisting NLIC undertake group-wide strategic decisions in its capacity as the Group’s headquarters through the provision of relevant region-specific information and analysis, as well as monitoring of NLIC’s investments into regional joint-ventures. JOB SUMMARY: The applicant will be responsible to formulate and implement Asia-Pacific strategic expansion plans of regional headquarters in India, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, and other countries in Asia-Pacific area and oversee the company’s operations in accordance with the strategic plans in the absence of the President. He/She will work closely with the various leadership team and senior stakeholders across the regional offices and in headquarters in Japan on a daily basis regarding monitoring and management on group companies and weekly basis regarding other roles. Job Description: - Liaise with the Head Office in Japan on a daily basis and monitor the group companies' management in the Asia-Pacific region as a shareholder (group companies refer to the life insurance and asset management areas). - Implement the organization's vision and mission in overall direction by working closely with various group companies' heads in driving sales, distributions, financials, risk management, compliance, IT and HR by ensuring each department understands their role and function. - Maintain awareness of competitive landscape, development and standards, and opportunities for expansion by overseeing NLIC in expansion of new markets and prospective partners and perform due diligence when entering new life insurance and asset management markets - Lead and supervise research team members to ensure consistency and quality of survey design across the region - Formulate and implement Asia-Pacific strategic expansion plans of regional headquarters and oversee the company operations in accordance with the strategic plans in the absence of the President.
