Assistant Accountant

The Zeno Singapore Assistant Accountant is a key member within the Finance Team who supports the Financial Controller in financial, financial planning & analysis, commercial and compliance works. The role requires the Employee to be well organized, proactive and a problem solver in addition to robust knowledge of accounting, internal controls, processes, and financial systems. This position reports to the Financial Controller.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Prior experience in public relations or any services industry and/or experience with PeopleSoft would be advantageous
- Able to multitask and desire to work in a fast-moving environment
- Well organized with keen attention to detail
- Proactive and possess positive attitude
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel

**Duties and Responsibilities - Zeno Singapore Assistant Accountant**

At the time of writing, the Zeno Singapore Assistant Accountant, with the support and guidance from Financial Controller and Financial Accountant shall deliver the below Duties and Responsibilities.

**Financial Reporting & Management**
- Support Financial Controller with monthly closing, review, monthly financial summary, analysis as well as other relevant report within stipulated deadlines.
- Support Financial Accountant to maintain an ongoing revenue pipeline report (“WRR”) for submission to regional leadership each week.
- Support Financial Controller with daily operations including AR, AP and inter-company transactions
- Support with any other reporting requirements by local/regional/global team or governmental agencies.
- Prepare quarterly GST return with guidance from the Financial Accountant

**Financial Control & Business Management**
- Establish and maintain accuracy of client revenue and billing plans, ensure month-end inputs are submitted and allocations are recorded.
- Track billing, WIP, and client deposits throughout the month, with an emphasis during month-end billing. Resolve billing issues based on client needs. Reconcile WIP to client deposits where necessary.
- Ongoing AR and AP monitoring. Keep teams informed of aged debt and potential collectability issues. Work closely with Back-Office team on all AR, AP and Billing matters.
- Prepare reports for the purpose of Cashflow Management. Reports include but not limited to trade, non-trade and/or inter-co AP and AR.
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations in accordance with global policy requirements.
- Observe and suggest ways of improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business.
- Review Fixed Asset Registers and ensure its accuracy.
- Assist the Financial Controller to ensure that overall financial policies, processes and controls are in place and adhered to.
- Support with any other ad-hoc requests by local/regional/global team or governmental agencies.

**Client Finance & Analysis**
- Assist client servicing team with Project Management including project setup, client & vendor onboarding, WIP and client deposit, accounts receivables and collections.
- Support Client servicing team to assess progress or milestone of deliverables to ensure revenue recognised according to accounting policy.
- Assist in monitoring and review of utilisation and client servicing to identify and address issues on specific projects and clients.
- Ensure that timesheets are completed and approved timely and accurately.
